This entry is dedicated to the loss of one of my dearest companions...
This companion was my pride and joy, the holder of all my worldly wealth and memories... the one companion that has been with me everywhere I went for the past 3 years...
My dear black esprit wallet... when I lost you before the New Year, I held out hope, thinking that you might return to me and stay by my side for a few more years... but that hope has been eroded, and mere crumbling pieces are left...I'll never find another one like you... your design was wonderful... and the way you held my movie tickets, travelled with me all over the world... I'll never forget you, my dear black esprit wallet...

Stop all the clocks
Cut off the telephone
Silence the barking dog
With a juicy bone
Silence the piano
and with muffled drum
bring out the coffin
let the mourners come

Let aeroplanes circle
moaning overhead
scribbling on the sky
the message He Is Dead
put crepe bows round
the white necks of the public doves
let the traffic policemen
wear black cotton gloves

He was my North, my South
my East, my West
My working week
My Sunday rest
My talk, my voice
My joy, my song
I thought love would last forever,
I was wrong

The stars are not wanted now
put out everyone
pack up the moon
and dismantle the sun
pour away the ocean
and sweep up the wood
for nothing now
can ever come to any good
